Coron in Pictures – Leaving our Worries Behind
We had no idea what would be waiting for us in Coron, our first stop in Palawan, Philippines. What we found was the joy in living.

Hi, quick question. did you stay in Coron Town or in Coron island? im just about confused on where to stay. thanks
Hi Allanah. You cannot stay on Coron Island. It’s a sacrd place to the Tagbanua people. Most people stay in Coron town or on an island resort.
Where did you stay at? It looked very clam and peaceful…we are looking at going in february and scouting for a place to stay.
Hi Madelyne. We stayed at Chindonan Island Resort which is about a 45 minute boat ride from Coron town. It’s a small place that’s ideal if you’re looking for something very peaceful. Keep in mind there’s not much to do on the resort except to relax. They have a reef out in front to go snorkelling and they have good dive facilities. They can also arrange island hopping trips but ofcourse they will be more expensive than those you will find in town.
This place looks amazing…. the best way to relax…
It certainly was.
This looks so lovely. It is winter here and I am envious of the warmth in your photos. Why did you decide on the Phillipines?
I first saw and read about this area of the Philippines in a National Geographic Magazine many, many years ago and it’s always intrigued me. From then I knew I would go there one day. It didn’t disappoint me.
It wasn’t a place I was planning on seeing, but perhaps I should put it on the list.
Amazing! What a beautiful part of the world!
Very picturesque!
