Weekly Photo Challenge: MOVEMENT
Welcome to Cape Spear, Newfoundland, the most easterly point in North America.
It’s exactly 3,102 km from our front door and only 3,020 km to Ireland. Here the rugged coastline is treacherous and high winds, irregular tides, and dynamic ocean currents make it exciting and dangerous. Sometimes visitors get too close to the edge and get swept away by rogue waves of the frigid North Atlantic. This doesn’t deter us thrill seekers on this especially windy day.
Feeling as free as birds, we lean precariously over the cliff’s edge into the howling winds and revel in its power. It’s like standing in a wind tunnel only this is all natural. There’s no need to actually move to feel like we’re in MOVEMENT.
